Making Money Work for You: Exploring financial issues with 11-19 year olds

The course will enable staff to develop an awareness of different aspects of finance that are relevant to young people. Participants will experience activities that use real life financial skills, which will enable young people to make informed choices about money.

Open Farm Event

Venue: Holly House Farm, Shottle. Nr. Belper, Derbyshire
This is an ideal opportunity for those who don't ordinarily get access to farms to come and have a look around, meet lots of members of the farming community and learn about food production. Holly House Farm is a dairy farm and the farmer is producing organic milk for the Olympics via McDonalds.
The event is suitable for all the family and donations go to the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (RABI). There will be various demonstrations throughout the day, including vintage tractors and light refreshments will be available.

Get Connected Social Media Training

These FREE sessions are aimed at beginners and will take you through the practical aspects of setting up and using Twitter and/or Facebook. These short, focused sessions will also cover the dos and don'ts of social media and how you can harness the power of social media to campaign effectively, fundraise and make yourself heard.
The session will appeal to anyone, but particularly those who have a role in social policy, campaigning, fundraising or management.
Places are limited to 10 attendees and only one per organisation. Priority will be given to AD members and advice sector workers in the first instance.
You can book your place on either the AM or PM session by completing the online form. Places will be allocated on a first come basis.
